Kindergarten GT Referrals

Referrals are currently being accepted for screening to determine eligibility for Lovejoy ISD's primary gifted and talented program in Kindergarten for the 2008-2009 school year.

Referral forms are available in each elementary school office and on the District website (http://www.lovejoyisd.net/MP.cfm?P=29515).  The deadline for submitting referrals is January 30, 2009.  Initial screening assessments will be given during the weekly in-class Gate Ten lessons during the last weeks of January.

Two informational meetings to answer your questions about, "What is Gate Ten?  What do they do in Gate Ten?  How do you get into Gate Ten?" will be held for your convenience.  The first meeting will be on January 6th at 7:00 p.m. in The Gathering Spot at Lovejoy Elementary and the second meeting will be at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th in the Leopard's Lair at Hart Elementary.  Attend either meeting that fits your schedule, as both meetings will be exactly the same.

Substitute Orientation

The next Substitute Orientation will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2009 at 4:00 - 5:00 PM in the Lovejoy High School Lecture Hall, 2350 Estates Parkway.

Substitute orientation is mandantory for all those wishing to sub in our district.
