The Lovejoy Independent School District Board of Trustees will convene in a Special-Called Board Meeting on Monday, March 23, 2020, beginning at 6:00 PM. Meetings of the Board are normally held in the Lovejoy Elementary School Gym located at 256 Country Club Road, Allen, Texas; HOWEVER, THIS MEETING WILL BE CONDUCTED BY VIDEO AND AUDIO CONFERENCE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE GOVERNANCE AUTHORIZATION CONCERNING SUSPENSION OF CERTAIN OPEN MEETING LAW REQUIREMENTS FOR THE COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS) EMERGENCY. A quorum of members of the Board will participate in the meeting and the meeting will be audible to the public.

To provide public comment on agenda items, members of the public must complete the public comment form on the District's website at: https://www.lovejoyisd.net/apps/pages/index.jsp?uREC_ID=388965&type=d&pREC_ID=881980. The public comment form will be available for completion between 5:00 PM and 5:55 PM on March 23, 2020. The public comments submitted will be read aloud for the Board to hear, and the content of the written comments cannot exceed five minutes. To the extent practicable, all other public comment rules shall apply.

If during the course of the meeting covered by this notice, the Board should determine that a closed session of the Board should be held or is required in relation to any item included on the notice, then the Board will convene in closed session as permitted by and in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 551.
