The Lovejoy Independent School District Board of Trustees will convene in a Special Board Meeting on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, beginning at 5:00 PM. Meetings of the Board are normally held in the Lovejoy Elementary School Gym located at 256 Country Club Road, Allen, Texas; HOWEVER, THIS MEETING WILL BE CONDUCTED BY VIDEO AND AUDIO CONFERENCE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE GOVERNANCE AUTHORIZATION CONCERNING SUSPENSION OF CERTAIN OPEN MEETING LAW REQUIREMENTS FOR THE COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS) EMERGENCY. A quorum of members of the Board will participate in the meeting and the meeting will be audible to the public.

If during the course of the meeting covered by this notice, the Board should determine that a closed session of the Board should be held or is required in relation to any item included on the notice, then the Board will convene in closed session as permitted by and in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 551.
