Lovejoy Head Football Coach Pursuing New Opportunities

Lovejoy High School Head Football Coach, Todd Ford, announced to his staff and team today, that he will be pursuing new opportunities.

Coach Ford stated, “The spring of 2016 brought about an exciting time for my family as we relocated back to the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex.  With a solid vision for our Leopard Football Program, we started the journey with one word “Family.” As you know, family is still a word that is very special to our program.  With that said, I am writing this to let each of you know that I have resigned from my head coaching position to pursue other opportunities for my own family.”

Jim Bob Puckett, Lovejoy ISD Athletic Director, stated, “We are extremely thankful for Coach Ford and his contributions to the Leopard Football program. Over the past four years, he has helped to re-establish Lovejoy Leopard Football as an extremely competitive program. We wish Coach Ford well as he pursues future endeavors.”

“Coach Ford has been a great contributor to the Leopard Football program. I am excited about his future and wish him continued success. We have big shoes to fill. I am confident we will have premier candidates come forward in the process. Leopard Football is an incredible program with incredible kids, and has a very bright future”, said Lovejoy ISD Superintendent, Dr. Mike Goddard.

Lovejoy ISD will establish the timeline for hiring the next Head Football Coach in the upcoming weeks.
