Summer Re-Opening Plan

Summer Reopening PlanLovejoy ISD is working to follow all guidance from various state agencies and county health officials concerning reopening some school programs. Although Governor Greg Abbott's Reopen Texas Plan includes general allowances for businesses and public facilities, it does not specifically outline the reopening of school facilities. Lovejoy will follow the guidance of the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and Commissioner Mike Morath on when and if to open various school buildings and facilities.

Additionally, the University Interscholastic League (UIL) oversees athletics, cheerleading, and band.

Local decisions for reopening are based upon the latest information about the spread of COVID-19, as well as guidance from the Collin County Health Care Services, Judge Chris Hill, the City of Lucas, and the Town of Fairview.

Updates to this website will be made as changes are made.
