Career and Technical Education

LISD Career and Technical Education Programs reinforce state and national academic standards, link to business and industry, offer career development activities, provide the ability to earn certifications, prepare students for challenges in higher education and a global, competitive workplace, and provide rigorous instruction through hands-on problem-solving projects.

Career counseling is available at the high school to assist CTE students and parents in helping plan their high school course of study by providing information on Career and Technical Education courses and how they might build skills and knowledge toward a particular career goal.
