Anna Koenig

Executive Director of Human Resources and Communication

Anna is an experienced educator who has held campus and district leadership positions for over twenty-five years.  Mrs. Koenig spent the first five years of her career teaching first and second grade in the Irving Independent School District. In 1996, her husband was transferred to California where she taught for two years at Sinai Akiba Academy in Los Angeles.  Upon her return to Texas, she took a position at Curtsinger Elementary and later became an assistant principal at Shawnee Trail Elementary and Spears Elementary.  In 2003, Mrs. Koenig was chosen to open Boals Elementary as principal where she remained until 2013.  In the fall of that year, she was named a Director and later a Managing Director in the Frisco ISD Human Resources Department. Mrs. Koenig was instrumental in the opening of many Frisco ISD schools as both an administrator and human resources director during her tenure in Frisco.


Anna has over 30 years of experience in education with 24 of those in the Frisco Independent School District. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University in College Station and her Masters in Mid-Management Administration from the University of North Texas as well as her superintendent certificate. In 2013, Mrs. Koenig was recognized as a National Distinguished Principal Finalist by the Texas Elementary Association of Principals and Supervisors Association (TEPSA).  


Mrs. Koenig has worked collaboratively with campuses and various departments to develop effective processes and systems that would allow increased efficiency and standardization methods for all.  She has also been a presenter at both state and national conferences including TEPSA, TASPA, AASPA, and Laserfiche.


Mrs. Koenig and her husband, Mike reside in Frisco along with their loveable lab, Harry. They enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends. Ms. Koenig brings a wealth of knowledge to the Lovejoy ISD school district as a teacher, administrator, and human resources director.

Marcy R. Hambrick, Ph.D., pHCLE, CTSBO

Director of Human Resources


Focus Areas: Management of Human Resources Programs, Policies, and Practices, including Recruitment & Retention, Compensation, Employment Contracts, Performance Appraisals, Unemployment, HR Documentation, Employment Law, and Board Policy.



Background: Marcy is in her 14th year in public education and has served as a Teacher, Campus Administrator, and Director. She received her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of North Texas with a minor in Literacy Studies and a focus on the Superintendency, her Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Southern Methodist University, and a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Oklahoma. While she now calls Texas her home, Marcy was born and raised in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Marcy and her husband, Brian, are blessed with two girls Aria (4) and Anna (aw-nuh) (2). While not at work, they enjoy raising their daughters, living an active lifestyle, and traveling with friends and family.

Focus Areas: HR Liaison for Employees, Campuses, and Business Groups; Employment Offers and Contract Administration; New Hire Orientations; HR Documentation and Service Record Management; Employee Exits; Employment Law and Board Policy. Certifications Lead.

Background: Gerri is completing her 12th year in public education and has served as a Campus Receptionist, HR Position Control Specialist, and HR Generalist. Before becoming a part of education, she worked in the banking and telecommunication industries. She acquired her Associate of Arts in the Business Field of Study from Collin College and completed her Bachelor's Degree in Business - Human Resource Management in June of 2020. Originally from Oklahoma, Gerri and her husband, Larry Sr., moved to Texas in 1995. They are the proud parents of two. Their son Larry Jr., is an Eagle Scout and attended Collin College. Their daughter Kathryn is currently attending Stephen F. Austin University. While not working, Gerri enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and Bass fishing when she can!

Background:  Terri has 7 years of Human Resources and Billing experience in the Medical Industry.  Her experience includes Benefits, New Hire Recruiting, Onboarding, Employee Records and license Management, Office Manager, Home Health Billing Manager, and Medical Records Management.  When her children were young, she also taught as a Preschool Teacher and was a Substitute for 10 years.  She has acquired her Human Resources Management Certification and Home Health PDGM Billing Certification.  Originally from Louisiana, she and her husband, Nolan, moved to Texas in 1993.  Their son, Cameron, is pursuing his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Hardin Simmons University.  Their daughter, Courtney, is attending the University of Mary Hardin Baylor acquiring her BSN Nursing Degree.  While not at work, Terri enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, reading, and shopping for deals.
