What is Google Classroom?
Google Classroom is a class-organization platform that incorporates Google's core products (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, etc.) so students can access everything they need for a class, including homework assignments, group projects, files, and in some cases, digital textbooks. Google Classroom is designed for organization and collaboration. It is recommended that parents connect to their student's Google Classroom to support their children in school.

How to Student Connect with Google Classroom?
Students are automatically added to their Classroom according to their class schedule.  They can access Google Classroom through Classlink.  They can access Google Classroom from anywhere, including from their phones, when they download the Google Classroom app.

How do Parents Connect with Google Classroom?
To access your children’s feed you need to ask the teacher to subscribe you to receive Guardian Summaries (this is done from the “People” tab in the teacher’s view). This page from the Google Help Center shares more information regarding Guardian Summaries and what you can expect of them.

How Is My Student Notified When Something New is Posted in Google Classroom?
Your student will receive an email when the teacher posts an announcement. These emails come through your student's district email account, not in Classroom. Classroom doesn't alert you when an assignment is due. In order to keep track of deadlines, students need to check the class calendar.
