Assistant Superintendent of Operations

Dr. Dennis Womack is in his 15th year with Lovejoy Independent School District, and currently serves as the Assistant Superintendent for Operations. As the Assistant Superintendent for Operations, Dr. Womack is responsible for:

    o Custodial Services
    o Grounds
    o Maintenance
  • PEIMS/PowerSchool
  • Safety & Security
  • Student Nutrition
  • Technology Services
  • Transportation Services
Dr. Womack’s responsibilities include supporting the Athletic Director to provide exceptional student experiences through UIL sports; supporting custodians, grounds, and maintenance staff on the upkeep of District facilities inside and out; planning and execution of capital projects; supporting the Transportation Director to provide safe and efficient equipment and practices for home-to-school and extracurricular student transportation; support the Director of Safety and Security to ensure student and staff safety and provide continuous training and crisis management; support the PEIMS Coordinator with an accurate and efficient system of data collection and reporting; support the Director of Technology to administer the District’s technology resources, infrastructure, technical support, and network security; and to support the Director of Student Nutrition to provide cost effective and appetizing meal options for students and staff.
Dr. Womack works with principals, curriculum and instruction, special education, business services, the Superintendent and other administrative staff to insure children are fed, transported safely, and learn in a safe and healthy environment. Dr. Womack holds a B.A. in Business Administration and a M.A. in Education from Austin College (Sherman, Texas), and a doctorate in Education Administration from the University of North Texas (Denton, Texas).
Dr. Womack is married to Diane and they have two girls, Natalie, (2019 graduate of Lovejoy High School) a current freshman at Henderson State University (Arkadelphia, AR) and Nicole, a current junior at Lovejoy High School. Diane is a Family Nurse Practitioner at Snyder-Hopkins Family Medical Center in McKinney, Texas.
