This course is open to all interested LHS students. It is recommended that students have completed Algebra II.
 
Please note: all students enrolled in the SAT course are required to purchase The Official SAT Study Guide (2020 edition) and take the diagnostic prior to the first day.

Meet your facilitators
 
Mrs. Cheryl Anderson
This is Cheryl Anderson's 13th year at Lovejoy and 14th year teaching for University of Phoenix. She came to Lovejoy after being a paralegal for 16 years. Cheryl teaches Pre-AP freshman English, AP Seminar and AP Research. Mrs. Anderson is the U.I.L. Ready Writing coach, has co-taught Writing Workshop Summer Enrichment for the past 5 years, and hosts the Writing Club at Lovejoy High School. 
 
Mrs. Kelley Bernhard
Mrs. Bernhard has been in Lovejoy for 7 years. She has been teaching math for 24 years. She currently teaches GT Geometry and Algebra II at Willow Springs and college mathematics for Collin College. You may have also seen her on campus on her way to teach Dual Credit math classes.
 
Mr. Jasen Eairheart
With fourteen years of teaching experience, Mr. Eairheart works very hard to prepare his students for what's next: the real world. Teaching AP English language and composition, he helps students think critically and write effectively, real world skills that will aid students in whatever their future holds. 
 
Mrs. Mary Cabrera
This is Mrs. Cabrera's fourth year in Lovejoy. Last year, she taught multiple levels of English and AP English Language and Culture. Prior to coming to Lovejoy, she taught English at all levels and was an AVID coordinator. You may also recognize Mrs.Cabrera as your counselor. She comes to the group with a wealth of knowledge to help your reach your goals! 
 
Ms. Courtney Todd
Ms. Todd teaches gifted and talented sections of English I and English II at Lovejoy High School. She has been in the district for 10 years. Ms. Todd is a graduate of Texas A&M University and is working on a masters degree from DTS. Prior to coming to Lovejoy, she worked with the educational non-profit LIFT, supporting adults learning English. Ms. Todd is excited to work with and support students through the SAT class.
