Lovejoy ISD is pleased to announce Danielle Nelson as the new Assistant Principal of Puster Elementary School. A dedicated educator and passionate advocate for student growth, Danielle brings more than 20 years of experience in education to her new leadership role.

Since joining Lovejoy ISD in 2017, Danielle has served as the K–3 Gifted and Talented Instructor at Hart and Puster Elementary Schools, where she has made a lasting impact through her work with students and her leadership in curriculum development and instructional coaching. She is known for fostering a culture of academic excellence, creativity, and collaboration.

Danielle began her teaching career in 2004 and has taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades across three Texas school districts. Throughout her career, she has served as a team leader, mentor, and lead mentor for new teachers, contributing to district initiatives such as vertical alignment and gifted program development.

A native of Lubbock, Texas, Danielle earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas Tech University and her Master’s in Educational Administration from Lamar University. She is deeply committed to student-centered learning and believes in building strong partnerships between home and school.

Outside of school, Danielle enjoys spending time with her family. She and her husband, Michael, have been married since 1996 and are the proud parents of 12 children and grandparents to 8 grandchildren.

Lovejoy ISD is excited to welcome Danielle Nelson into this new role and looks forward to the leadership, heart, and dedication she will continue to bring to the Puster Elementary school community.
