Lovejoy ISD is proud to announce Dr. Chad Burnett as the District’s Chief Leadership and Learning Officer.
Dr. Burnett is a dedicated educational leader with more than 20 years of experience serving students, teachers, and school communities. He most recently served as Executive Director of Teaching and Learning in Eanes ISD, where he partnered with principals and instructional teams to strengthen teaching and learning across the district. Over the course of his career, he has served as a district leader, principal, assistant principal, and teacher with a focus on building strong schools through collaboration, relationships, and a shared commitment to student success.
“We are proud to welcome Dr. Burnett to Lovejoy ISD as our Chief Leadership and Learning Officer. Dr. Burnett’s exceptional experience and proven track record of delivering strong outcomes will further strengthen and advance Lovejoy ISD’s legacy of academic excellence. I am confident that he will play a vital role in supporting our teachers and leaders as we work together to provide the very best for our students,” states Superintendent Kordel.
Holding a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership, Dr. Burnett is passionate about partnering with educators and creating learning environments where all students can thrive. His academic background also includes a Master’s in Educational Administration from Lamar University and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Sul Ross State University.
Dr. Burnett and his wife, Candice, are excited to join the Lovejoy community. Candice is an educator as well, and together they value strong schools, meaningful relationships, and opportunities to be actively involved in the community.
