Lovejoy ISD is proud to announce seven students have been recognized as National Merit Finalists in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program. Congratulations to Lovejoy Seniors:

Over 1.3 million high school juniors took the 2024 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) and met requirements to enter the 2026 National Merit® Scholarship Program. With a Selection Index score of 210 or above, these high performers have shown outstanding academic potential.
In September 2025, Lovejoy Announced 24 students were recognized by the 2026 National Merit® Scholarship Program. Seven students were named Semifinalists, ranking in the top 16,000 of the highest scoring students, representing less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors and the top scorers in each state.
All Lovejoy National Merit Semifinalists were named Finalists this spring. Finalists compete for 6,930 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $26 million to be offered in spring 2026.
