Lovejoy ISD is proud to announce Sara Bagby as the new principal of Hart Elementary School.

Ms. Bagby joins Lovejoy ISD from Sonntag Elementary School in Frisco ISD, where she has served as campus principal for the past three years. She is a seasoned educator and campus leader with a strong commitment to fostering a positive, student-centered culture focused on high levels of learning for all students. Bringing 19 years of experience in public education, Ms. Bagby has held leadership and instructional roles including, principal, assistant principal, instructional coach, curriculum writer, and classroom teacher.

Superintendent Kordel shared excitement for Hart Elementary, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome Sara Bagby to Lovejoy ISD as Principal of Hart Elementary School. Her experience, dedication to students, and commitment to partnering with staff and families will strengthen the strong traditions that make Hart Elementary such a special place. We look forward to the positive impact Ms. Bagby will have on our school community and the opportunities and experiences she will create for our students.”

Ms. Bagby earned her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Stephen F. Austin University and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Southwest Texas State University.

Outside of school, Ms. Bagby enjoys spending time with her daughters, Emma (19) a rising sophomore at Texas Tech and Abigail (17) a rising senior at Reedy High School.
