Lovejoy ISD is proud to announce Heather Meek as Director of Curriculum & Instruction K-12.

Ms. Meek brings a wealth of experience and a well-rounded educational background that reflects her deep commitment to student success, staff development, and continuous improvement. Her leadership is grounded in high expectations, meaningful relationships, and a strong dedication to advancing the mission and vision of Lovejoy ISD.

With 29 years of experience in public education, Ms. Meek has served as a special education teacher, educational diagnostician, assistant principal, principal, and director of curriculum. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a collaborative, student-centered approach and a passion for supporting educators in their work. Notably, she opened McSpedden Elementary School in Frisco ISD as its founding principal and later served as principal of Bridge Point Elementary in Eanes ISD, successfully leading both campuses through periods of growth, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Ms. Meek has been married to her husband, Jason, for more than 30 years. Together they have two adult sons, Austin and Brady, both of whom now live in Frisco.

As Director of Curriculum & Instruction K-12, Ms. Meek will lead efforts to strengthen instructional practices, support curriculum development, and ensure high levels of learning for all students. She is committed to fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence while supporting both staff and students in reaching their full potential.
