Lovejoy ISD welcomes Solange Mainer as she begins her 10th year in choral music education.

Prior to joining Lovejoy ISD, Mainer served as head choir director at Otto Middle School in Plano ISD, McLean Middle School in Fort Worth ISD, and Manvel Junior High in Alvin ISD. Choirs under her direction have consistently earned Superior ratings, and she was named Rookie of the Year for the 2018–2019 school year.

Ms. Mainer is a 2014 graduate of Baylor University's Opera Performance Program and has performed professionally in the United States, England, Scotland, Malaysia, Italy, and Germany. She currently serves as a Soprano Section Leader and frequent guest conductor at St. Andrew Methodist Church in Plano.

In addition to teaching and performing, Ms. Mainer has experience as an adjudicator and clinician and previously served as the TMEA Region 25 Middle School Vocal Treasurer. She has also completed Levels I, II, and III of the Kodály Certification program at Southern Methodist University.

Ms. Mainer is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Choral Directors Association, Organization of American Kodály Educators, and Kodály Educators of Texas.

Outside of choral music, Ms. Mainer enjoys spending time with her rescue dog, Basel.

Lovejoy ISD is excited to welcome Ms. Mainer to the district and looks forward to the experience she will bring to Lovejoy's choral music program.
