Allen, Texas – February 27, 2026 – Lovejoy ISD is proud to announce Eighmy Dobbins as Head Volleyball Coach.
Ms. Eighmy Dobbins joins Lovejoy ISD from Liberty High School in Frisco ISD, where she currently serves as Head Volleyball Coach and a Career and Technical Education (CTE) teacher.
Since being named Head Coach at Liberty High School in 2022, Ms. Dobbins has built an impressive 123–35 overall record and a 51–3 district record. In 2025, Coach Dobbins led Liberty to its first-ever state semifinal appearance, a historic milestone for the program. Under her leadership, the program also advanced to the Regional Quarterfinals in 2022 and 2023 and secured four consecutive District Championships. Her leadership and impact on student-athletes have earned her multiple honors, including the 2025 Star Local Media Coach of the Year award and District Coach of the Year recognition in each of her four seasons as head coach.
Ms. Dobbins brings a coaching philosophy grounded in strong relationships, intentional purpose, and steadfast, balanced leadership. Eager to join a program rich in tradition and driven by an expectation of excellence, she is dedicated to continuing Lovejoy Volleyball’s long-standing success and building upon the program’s proud legacy.
Raised in Argyle, Texas, Dobbins played high school volleyball. During her career, she contributed to a State Championship title in 2015, a State Finalist finish in 2014, and a State Semifinalist appearance in 2012. Dobbins began her collegiate career playing volleyball at Texas Tech University for two years, before transferring to Abilene Christian University. While at Abilene Christian University, she competed in both indoor and beach volleyball while earning a Bachelor of Science in Advertising and Public Relations with a 4.0 Grade Point Average (GPA). Ms. Dobbins has served as a coach at Texas Christian University (TCU) Elite and ID volleyball camps for the past three years.
