Lovejoy Robotics had an outstanding showing at the 2026 VEX Texas Region 5 High School Championship, with multiple teams earning top honors and securing spots at the VEX Robotics World Championship.

Team 1082E was crowned Tournament Champion and also earned the Innovate Award for their exceptional performance, strategy, and teamwork.
Team 1082M received the prestigious Design Award, recognizing excellence in the engineering design process and the strength of their engineering notebook and robot design.
Team 1082J finished as Tournament Finalist and captured the Create Award for innovative engineering solutions, qualifying them for the VEX Robotics World Championship.
Team 1082N also competed with determination, finishing 4–4 in qualification matches and advancing to elimination rounds.

With these achievements, three Lovejoy Robotics teams will advance to the VEX Robotics World Championship in St. Louis this April.

Congratulations to our students, coaches, and supporters on this incredible accomplishment.

Students interested in joining the Lovejoy Robotics team for the 2026–2027 school year should watch for application information coming soon.

🎻 Lovejoy Symphony Orchestra Showcase – March 9

The Lovejoy High School Symphony Orchestra will present a special showcase performance on Monday, March 9 at 6:30 PM in the LHS Auditorium.

This collaborative ensemble brings together members of the LHS Chamber Orchestra and Wind Ensemble, creating a full symphonic experience that highlights the depth of talent within Lovejoy’s Fine Arts program. Students will perform masterworks by Dmitri Shostakovich and Jean Sibelius, demonstrating exceptional artistry, precision, and dedication.

The performance will last approximately 30 minutes and promises to be a powerful display of teamwork and musical excellence.

The Lovejoy Majestics Dance Team had an outstanding showing this past Saturday at the Crowd Pleasers Regional Dance Competition hosted at Independence High School.

After performing 4 officer routines, 2 elite routines, 13 solos, and 3 duets, the Majestics brought home numerous top awards and proudly represented Lovejoy with excellence.

✨ Highlights include:
• Officer Open – Diamond, 1st Place
• Officer Lyrical – High Platinum, 1st Place
• Officer Contemporary – High Platinum, 1st Place
• 1st Place Grand Champion Officer Group (Select Large Team Division)
• Outstanding Choreography, Performance Quality, Execution, and Technique Awards

The team also earned High Platinum honors for Elite routines, Diamond awards in duet performances, and recognition for Outstanding Academic Achievement.

Congratulations to these talented dancers on an incredible contest season!

Lovejoy ISD Libraries are excited to host the second annual Bookmark Design Challenge! Bookmarks should celebrate reading and center around the theme of "Wild About Reading"--think jungle, animal prints, nature, or other creative ways to express what Wild About Reading means to you. Use the theme to jumpstart your ideas; be creative! Two winners from each grade level (PreK-12) will have their bookmark printed and available at every Lovejoy ISD school, admin building, and library. Lovejoy Boys Basketball earned a strong 57-43 victory over Killeen Ellison last night in the Regional Semifinal, continuing their playoff run. The team delivered a complete performance on both ends of the court to secure the win and advance.

💪 STATE-BOUND LEOPARD 💪

Lovejoy High School powerlifter Teni Segun is headed to STATE! 🏆

Teni secured her spot at the Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting Association (THSWPA) State Championship after winning her division at the 5A Region 6 Meet in Prosper.

She posted an incredible 1,040-pound total, highlighted by a 450-pound deadlift — the top deadlift across all weight classes at the meet.

Teni will compete for a state title on March 21 at the Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburgh, Texas.
