The Lovejoy Girls Cross Country team captured the 5A UIL State Championship, “taking back their title!” After a three year winning streak and a runner-up finish in 2024, the girls had a clear mission to be back on top of the podium. It was a total team effort as each girl had to buckle down in the last 800 meters to overcome Smithson Valley who was in the lead at the two mile mark. In the end, the depth of the Leopards was what it took to solidify the State Championship!
