Last week, our Lovejoy ISD community came together for a heartfelt Veterans Day celebration hosted by Student Council , featuring performances by the Lovejoy Orchestra and A Cappella Choir, a moving Taps tribute, and special remarks from Superintendent Katie Kordel, Board President Julie McLaughlin, and Student Council Vice President Grace Peay.

STATE CHAMPS!
The Lovejoy Girls Cross Country team has officially "taken our title back!"
After a three-year winning streak and a runner-up finish in 2024, the Leopards had one mission — to get back on top of the podium. It was a total team effort, with every runner digging deep in the final 800 meters to overcome Smithson Valley, who led at the 2-mile mark.
In the end, the depth, determination, and heart of our Leopards made all the difference — bringing home the State Championship!
