In honor of School Board Recognition Month, we asked each of our Trustees a unique question. Today we are honored to recognize Trustee, Jason Jaynes.
Question: "What inspired you to volunteer on the Legislative Subcommittee?"
Answer: "It is a great honor and privilege to serve as the Lovejoy ISD Board of Trustees' Legislative Committee Chair. I was first elected to the board in 2021 and volunteered soon after to work on the legislative committee because I believe passionately in the power of a great public education. I also wanted to learn more about what we can do to continue to strengthen these institutions both here in Lovejoy and throughout the state of Texas. We are in a very special place here in Lovejoy, and I look forward to working with our administration, community, and state leaders to continue to build on our Legacy of Excellence."
Thank you, Mr. Jaynes, for your commitment and service to Lovejoy ISD!

Lovejoy Senior, Maria Faoro has been on an amazing journey in diving! After winning both the 1 & 3 meter events at Brazil’s Nationals in São Paulo last October, she secured her qualification for the Diving Junior World Championships. As a back-to-back Brazil National Champion in 2023 and 2024, Maria’s dedication is unmatched. This is her second year representing Brazil, having already competed in the 2023 Pan American Games (6th place) and the 2024 America Cup (9th place).
