Congratulations to our Boys and Girls Varsity and JV Cross Country Teams for becoming the District 9-5A Champions!
This is the 18th year in a row Lovejoy Boys Cross Country has won both the JV and Varsity District Championship! In fact, they have been District Champions every year since the inception of the program!!
The Lovejoy Girls Cross Country team swept the District Championship and had 2 PERFECT scores of 15 points! Both the JV and Varsity teams put 7 runners at the front, making this the best District finish Lovejoy has ever had!
Thank you, Coach Logan Kelly & Coach Carly Littlefield for your phenomenal leadership over these programs! Wishing both Varsity teams good luck as they advance to the Regional Championship on October 22nd at 9:00 a.m. at Lynn Creek Park in Grand Prairie.

The Board of Trustees approved the formation of a Bond Planning Committee at the September 30, 2024 Board Meeting. The Bond Planning Committee will be a stakeholder based committee that studies District capital needs and recommends priorities for a possible future bond election. Superintendent Kordel said, the best way to start her day is reading to our littlest Leopards. She read a book about what a cardboard box can become when we use our imagination. The students had some great ideas, “A dinosaur, a car, and a really loud firetruck!”
Leopard Reminder: Tomorrow, October 4th is Leopard Friday! Leopard Friday is a family friendly community event and cherished Lovejoy tradition. Activities will include games, food trucks, music, a community pep-rally, and more!
