Lovejoy Swim & Dive Shines at Regionals! 🏊‍♂️🏆 Both the Men’s and Women’s teams secured 3rd place overall, delivering standout performances across the board. Incredible Achievement by Lovejoy Mock Trial! ⚖️ On Saturday, February 8, our Mock Trial team competed against 12 teams, winning their Semi-Final round with a unanimous jury decision! They advanced to the final round of 6 teams, showcasing their incredible skill and dedication. A huge congratulations to Hannah Gapp, who is going to State as a courtroom artist! A special thank you to Ms. Cheryl Anderson, our incredible Mock Trial sponsor, for her instruction and guidance throughout the season. Congratulations to Our Scholastic Art & Writing Award Winners! Each year, Lovejoy Visual Artists compete in the prestigious Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, a competition that has honored legends like Andy Warhol, Stephen King, and Amanda Gorman. This year, 14 LJVA students earned awards for 23 artworks at the 7-state regional level! Of these, 9 pieces/portfolios received Gold Keys and will now compete at the national level for scholarships and recognition. We are incredibly proud of our talented students and the dedication, creativity, and thoughtfulness behind their work. Lovejoy Visual Arts proudly celebrates Dana Colston (‘25), Caroline Matthews (‘25), and Veronica Ye (‘25) for being named 2025 U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts nominees—one of the nation’s highest honors for high school students! As YoungArts winners with distinction, they were selected from over 11,000 applicants and awarded a collective $18,000 during National YoungArts Week.
