They got hands-on with science lessons, zoomed through the skies on the zipline, paddled through the lake while canoeing, fished, and tackled fun camp challenges. School Social Workers are trained mental health professionals with a degree in social work who provide services related to a person's social, emotional and life adjustment to school. School Social Workers are the link between the home, school and community in providing direct as well as indirect services to students, families and school personnel to promote and support students' academic and social success. Lovejoy ISD is fortunate to have outstanding educational diagnosticians that serve students across our district. Please join us in celebrating: Jaime Willman, Crystal Lusk, Shannon Wyrick, Diane Walters, Cheri Allen. Educational diagnosticians undergo specialized training to use academic and psychological tests to assess students suspected of disabilities, isolate factors that could enhance students' performance in the classroom, and prepare formal evaluation reports. Diagnosticians provide information to ARD Committee meetings and assist special and general education teachers by developing and recommending strategies and materials.

The Lovejoy High School Student-Superintendent Connection Council took an educational trip to the George W. Bush Presidential Museum in Dallas! 🚌 🇺🇸This experience was part of the Council’s continued focus on leadership. Students had the opportunity to explore the themes of leadership and decision-making. Through interactive displays and historical artifacts, students were able to delve into the complexities of leadership during times of national and international crisis. Aligned with LOVEJOY 2030 Strategic Target 2.1.1, this trip supported our commitment to provide learning experiences that foster a growth mindset and develop future leaders.
