⛳️ Leopards Bring Home Bronze! 🐆
Lovejoy’s Boys and Girls Varsity Golf teams competed at the East Texas Challenge in Frankston, taking on 36 holes in one long day after weather condensed the tournament. Walking the hilly Pine Dunes course for nearly 10 hours, both teams showed incredible endurance and focus.
🏅 The Lady Leopards earned a 3rd-place team finish, led by Natalie Breaux, Abigail George, Kajsa Sikes, Olivia Kuhn, and Caroline Emerson.
🏅 The boys team also secured 3rd place overall, with David Ruggeri, Ayden Polonet, Reid York, Kaleb Orshalick, and Veer Dev representing Lovejoy.
🔥 Individually, sophomore Kaleb Orshalick won the boys division with an impressive 5-under par (139), and senior Natalie Breaux finished 5th overall in the girls division with a 152.

Lovejoy Swim & Dive competed at the UIL State Swimming & Diving Championships, representing Lovejoy among the top programs in Texas!
The girls’ 200 Medley Relay advanced to championship finals and finished 16th in the state, with the team placing 41st overall.
On the boys’ side, the 400 Freestyle Relay earned a 15th-place finish in Texas, and Jack Keller advanced to finals in the 100 Backstroke, finishing 14th overall. The boys’ team placed 43rd statewide.
Competing at the state level reflects years of dedication, discipline, and balance in the classroom and the pool. We are so proud of our student-athletes for representing Lovejoy on the biggest stage in Texas high school swimming!

This morning’s Academic Pep Rally was a celebration of learning at Lovejoy High School.
Students were recognized for outstanding academic achievements, including Advanced Placement (AP) Scholars and National Merit recognitions. Their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to growth continue to set a high standard of excellence.
Spring sports teams were also honored as they head into competition season, celebrating the hard work and preparation already underway. Incredible performances by the Majestics, cheerleaders, and our talented A Cappella group, brought spirit and energy to the event!

🎶 Lovejoy Musicians Earn All-State Honors! 🎶 At last week’s Texas Music Educators Association Convention in San Antonio, Lovejoy’s All-State Band and Orchestra students delivered outstanding performances that reflect months of dedication and excellence. Earning a place in an All-State ensemble is one of the highest honors in Texas music education, selected through a rigorous audition process that begins with more than 70,000 students statewide. Congratulations to Sarah Gable, Ian Marshall, Nolan Hummel, Devin Goins, and Max Rattleff for representing Lovejoy Band at the state level. Congratulations as well to Evan Zhang, violist in the Lovejoy Orchestra, on earning All-State Orchestra recognition. Aro Ogle-Garza – 110 lbs (undefeated!)
🥉 6th Place Finishers
Landon Davis – 144 lbs
Nick Rowe – 285 lbs
Each finalist battled every step of the way. Aro capped off an undefeated run with a State Championship performance. Landon had a phenomenal first day to reach the semifinals and continued to fight through a challenging second day. After dropping his first match, Nick battled back one match at a time to earn a sixth-place finish.
Congratulations as well to Paxton Friesland (120 lbs), Ethan Bates (175 lbs), and Alex Reed (215 lbs) on qualifying for State and representing Lovejoy at the highest level.
An incredible way to close out the season. Leopard Nation is proud! 🐆

In Mrs. Landers’ class, students are tackling story problems with unknowns by slowing down, making sense of the situation, and planning a strategy. They identify what they’re solving for, use number bonds and strip diagrams to represent their thinking, write an equation to match the story, and solve with confidence.
Even better? They can explain how they solved it. From “I know the unknown is…” to complete-sentence answers, these students are showing strong problem-solving skills, perseverance, and mathematical reasoning in action. Way to go! 👏
