Congratulations to the seven students from Lovejoy High School who qualified for the HOSA (Future Health Professionals) State Conference in Round Rock, Texas! These students competed against students from the entire state in their event. Lovejoy High School HOSA Competition results: 📣 Ruona Enaohwo received a gold medal in the Barbara James Service Award 📣 Saankya Jagarlapudi placed fourth in the state in the Research Poster Competition Kate Peabody, Layne Dechant, Mila Kamali, Noah Kamali, and Shryi Baiya competed in the Health Education Competition. A very special thank you to their teacher sponsor, Kathy Barnett, for her guidance and support throughout the year!

Today, Wednesday, May 14th we celebrate Texas Public School Paraprofessional Day!! Paraprofessionals work with children individually or in small groups providing assistance and basic instruction in education related activities. Their classroom support is integral to many students' success. Thank you, Lovejoy paraprofessionals!

Lovejoy ISD invites families interested in enrolling in PreK 3 and PreK 4 programs (25-26 school year) to the Lovejoy Child Development Center (LCDC) for an informational tour and Q&A session! We deeply appreciate our Board of Trustees’ dedication and commitment to serving the students and staff of Lovejoy ISD.

We would like to thank our Lovejoy community for your strong support of our students, teachers, and schools. Lovejoy voters approved 98.36% of the Bond - Propositions A, B, D and E. The bond proposal was created by a dedicated group of 49 community members serving on the Bond Planning Committee, and we are incredibly grateful for their thoughtful work in shaping a bond package that our community rallied behind. The passage of this bond is not only a commitment to our schools—it is an investment in the future of our children and Lovejoy ISD. Now we begin the important work of planning, preparing, and delivering on the proposed projects. We look forward to providing you with information and updates on this important process at Board meetings and in our district newsletter. Lovejoy ISD’s capital asset study and strategic planning process began in 2022. The stakeholder based Capital Planning and Bond Planning committees met for a total of 18 times over a 20 month period touring campuses, evaluating third party facility assessment data, and developing a bond package recommendation. The 2025 bond package is based on their recommendations . Today, Saturday, May 3rd is Election Day and polls are open until 7:00 p.m!
