Lovejoy High School powerlifter Teni Segun is headed to STATE! 🏆
Teni secured her spot at the Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting Association (THSWPA) State Championship after winning her division at the 5A Region 6 Meet in Prosper.
She posted an incredible 1,040-pound total, highlighted by a 450-pound deadlift — the top deadlift across all weight classes at the meet.
Teni will compete for a state title on March 21 at the Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburgh, Texas.

🐻🌿 PreK-3 Goes on a Bear Hunt! 🌿🐻
Our PreK-3 students wrapped up a week of learning about wild animals with an exciting Bear Hunt adventure! After reading fiction and nonfiction books about bears, practicing counting and rhyming songs, and building bear caves and dens, students grabbed their binoculars and headed outside to search for clues.
They discovered berries, footprints, and other signs of wildlife in the garden area — but no bears were spotted at the LCDC! 😉
We love seeing our youngest Leopards learning through play and taking their learning outdoors. #LovejoyProud

⛳️ Leopards Bring Home Bronze! 🐆
Lovejoy’s Boys and Girls Varsity Golf teams competed at the East Texas Challenge in Frankston, taking on 36 holes in one long day after weather condensed the tournament. Walking the hilly Pine Dunes course for nearly 10 hours, both teams showed incredible endurance and focus.
🏅 The Lady Leopards earned a 3rd-place team finish, led by Natalie Breaux, Abigail George, Kajsa Sikes, Olivia Kuhn, and Caroline Emerson.
🏅 The boys team also secured 3rd place overall, with David Ruggeri, Ayden Polonet, Reid York, Kaleb Orshalick, and Veer Dev representing Lovejoy.
🔥 Individually, sophomore Kaleb Orshalick won the boys division with an impressive 5-under par (139), and senior Natalie Breaux finished 5th overall in the girls division with a 152.
Proud of these student-athletes for bringing home hardware and building momentum for the season ahead! 🏌️♀️ #LovejoyProud
