The Outstanding Service Award is one of the highest honors that can be bestowed upon an individual by our PTO. Recipients of this award promoted students’ well-being and demonstrated care for children above and beyond what is expected or written in their job description. Each year we ask the community to nominate a parent, a volunteer, a teacher, administrator, or community leader that has given so much and done more than was expected. Some contributions to our students are big and visible while others give quietly behind the scenes, making a huge impact all the same. That is why we love to hear from our community to learn about all the great things people are doing in this district. This year, we received almost 200 submissions, far above the average we’ve seen previously.

Congratulations to our 2025–2026 recipients!

Book clubs are bringing stories to life in 7th grade ELA 📚

Students are diving into novels of their choice and teaming up with peers to share ideas, ask questions, and spark meaningful conversations. Each week, they come ready to build on one another’s thinking while strengthening their speaking and listening skills.

From analyzing characters and themes to exploring an author’s craft, these student-led discussions are sharpening critical thinking and making learning more engaging.

Most importantly, students are discovering the joy of reading when they have choice and ownership in the process.

Calculus in action 📈

Students brought higher-level math to life using Wikki Sticks to create slope fields and visualize solutions to differential equations. This hands-on approach made abstract concepts more engaging and easier to understand.

Working in groups, they collaborated, shared ideas, and explored how individual slopes connect to form solution curves—building deeper understanding through creative, active learning.
